"As we grow up, we realize it becomes less important to have a ton of friends, and more important to have real ones."

I am who I am...but who am I?

Everyday we are faced with questions about ourselves, constantly thinking consciously or unconsciously about them. Everyday we are faced with decisions about ourselves, actions and thoughts clicking or fighting with each other. Everyday we are faced with uncertainty or overconfidence of who we are. Everyday-Everyday-Everyday----It's always everyday of our lives.

It's like our preference of a breakfast beverage or food, whether to eat now or later because "I am hungry" "It looks good", going to school or work, choosing a maroon hibiscus pattern scarf or sunshine yellow scarf, making up with a loved one after a spat the night before or ignore it the whole day, taking that offer to work in Finland or staying in that lowly position in the city, leaving for college in a different country or near home...the behavior, the decisions, the actions, the thinking of each individual is everyday-everyday-everyday----always everyday.

Do we really know ourselves? What does it mean to be "me"? To be "myself"? Sometimes people do things without consciously thinking, speaking hurtful or ignorant words to others, reacting without realizing...but is that even true? How do I know who I am if I don't realize what I am doing?

"To be, or not to be, that is the question." - Shakespeare Hamlet
